Heartworm medications, treatment and control in the news

One of the reasons for this is that this is a relatively slow moving industry because of the huge costs which the drug companies must spend to come up with a new heartworm control medications for pets dogs (and cats!).
In some senses, the less that heartworm control medications are in the news the better. We really only want them to quietly go on doing the job that they were designed for, namely successfully controlling heartworm disease in our pets.
